Kylian Mbappé scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season in La Liga on Tuesday night against Levante. The Real Madrid forward, ahead of his upcoming appearance in Turin tomorrow, has now reached 38 goals in the Spanish league — one more than Zinedine Zidane.
Although Mbappé had a quiet first half during Matchday 6 against Levante, he turned things around with a second-half brace. He first converted a penalty with a right-footed panenka to give his team breathing room (3–1, 63rd minute), after the newly promoted side had narrowed the gap.
Just three minutes later (4–1, 66th minute), Mbappé struck again, beating the Levante goalkeeper with a clever feint to score his 38th La Liga goal in just 40 matches for the club. That’s one more than Zidane, who netted 37 goals in 155 appearances in the Spanish top flight.
